Welcome to The AlpenGlow Alpaca Ranch

The Ranch is now closed. All of our Alpacas have either been sold or have moved to Denton, Texas. 

The AlpenGlow Alpaca Ranch is located on the California coast in Santa Cruz. It was love at first sight when we saw our first alpaca at the Santa Cruz County Fair in the summer of 2003, and it wasn’t long before we were digging fence post holes and getting the barn ready to start our own alpaca ranch. We had everything completed by  January 2004, and started with two female Huacaya alpacas. So far, our breeding program has resulted in three lovely girls. We hope our luck continues with our next round of crias, due in spring 2007. We select only the highest quality studs for our girls, and are devoted to breeding for the finest fleece, best conformation and friendliest temperament.

Our girls live in a beautiful setting surrounded by oaks, next to an apple orchard, tucked away in a private nature setting, yet only 10 minutes from a major freeway exit. We give them personal  attention every day, making sure they are healthly and happy. We are keeping our herd small until we retire in a few years to a larger ranch and can devote full time to this business we love. The alpacas are adorable, and spending time with them and caring for them make for a wonderful, peaceful, healthy life style. And what could be more joyful than welcoming a beautiful new cria into the world?

Although we are still a small ranch of four alpacas, we would love to share our animals and all the knowledge we have gained about this great business and wonderful lifestyle with others.
